Hey stranger (this is me guessing my friends and family already know about me and won’t care about this bit…),
I’m Sarah. I’m a Taurus who loves short walks on the beach, one too many glasses of wine and wearing my pjs around the house….
The daughter of a crazy Brit, and a slightly mad American and the delightful older sister to a hilarious ginger mechanic, I grew up in little ol’ New Zealand.
Having parents with funny accents has left me in the fortuitous position of holding a couple passports and the desire to use them. Already in my time I’ve jumped around the European continent, hopped across to the US of A, passed through a tiny part of Canada and dabbled softly in a couple parts of South East Asia and Australia. Now I’m hungry for more. Luckily, my equally well equipped and dreadfully handsome husband Andrew is also keen for the ride.
More importantly than all of that, I’m the owner of this blog, and the chief photographer on all our adventures, both near to home and those further afield.
Prior to this particular adventure I was a digital marketer for an online marketplace in New Zealand, dealing mostly with email marketing. On the side I did a bit of freelance writing and even owned a little jewellery business, just for some extra cash. You can learn about my professional exploits over here, if you’re so inclined!
Once upon a time, a whee while ago, I went to university and acquired a BCA in Marketing and a BCA in Toruism. I had high hopes of working in the industry and putting my newly minted degrees to use but fell into recruitment instead.
Now I’m a cat-mom to one black cat, a homeowner, a wife, and apparently a blogger. I look forward to you following our adventure.
